High Star, Kemodo team up on James Mark’s Fight Another Day

Toronto’s High Star Entertainment and Kemodo Entertainment are getting back in the ring for their latest collaboration, James Mark’s action film Fight Another Day.

Directed and written by Mark alongside Matthew K. Nayman, the film is produced by Bruno Marino (Gridlocked, Uncharted: The Fan Film) of High Star Entertainment and Mark of Kemodo Entertainment.

““he made his bones working on several Hollywood productions and will no doubt amaze audiences with his unique brand of fight or action sequences.””

Principal photography for the feature is currently underway in the Greater Toronto Area until the end of December. Fight Another Day follows a cop who gets transported to a dystopian future and must fight in a deadly tournament to get back home. It stars Eric Johnson (Fifty Shades Darker), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid), Kevin Nash (The Punisher), and UFC fighters Chuck Liddell and Ken Shamrock.

Marino said in a statement that Mark has “years of stunt action movies under his belt,” adding that “he made his bones working on several Hollywood productions and will no doubt amaze audiences with his unique brand of fight or action sequences.”

Kemodo Entertainment is an independent film production company specializing in the action genre. It has built “an in-house action team comprised of Hollywood stunt professionals,” which adds significant production value to its films as it “allows for the timely creation and execution of kinetic action sequences,” according to a news release.

The prodco’s recent credits include Mark’s Control, which was distributed by levelFILM in Canada and Saban Films in the U.S., and Enhanced, which was distributed in the U.S. by Vertical Entertainment. Kemodo has previously worked with High Star Entertainment on Derek Barnes’ Walking Supply.
